Emergency Locksmith in St. Augustine, FL

Lock and key emergencies don't keep business hours. A house lockout at midnight, keys locked in a running car, a key snapped off in the door, or a lock that suddenly won't secure your business — these need a prompt, level-headed response. Ancient City Locksmith is available 24/7 by phone for urgent locksmith help across St. Augustine and Northeast Florida.

What Counts as a Locksmith Emergency

Common emergencies include being locked out of your home, car or business; a key that broke off in the lock; a lock that won't turn or won't secure the door; keys lost with no spare; and urgent rekey situations after a lost key or a security concern. If a door won't lock, your property is exposed — that's worth handling right away even if no one is locked out.

Safety Comes First

If a child, a vulnerable adult or a pet is locked inside a vehicle or home and in immediate danger — especially in Florida heat — call 911 first. Emergency services can respond faster than any locksmith when someone's safety is at stake. Once everyone is safe, we can handle the lock or key problem.

What to Do While You Wait

Stay somewhere safe, especially late at night or in a parking lot. Avoid the temptation to force the door, pry a window or keep twisting a key that feels like it's about to snap — those actions usually turn a simple lockout into a repair. Have identification ready so we can confirm you're authorized to access the property or vehicle; if your ID is locked inside, just let us know when you call.

How We Handle Emergency Calls

When you call, describe what happened, where you are, and the type of lock or vehicle involved so we arrive with the right tools. We prioritize urgent calls. We don't quote guaranteed arrival times, because traffic, distance and time of day genuinely affect how long it takes — but we'll give you a realistic window rather than an empty promise.

Emergencies We Respond To

House and apartment lockouts, car lockouts, business lockouts, broken key extraction, lock repair when a door won't secure, lost-key rekeys, and jammed or failed locks. For each, our aim is to restore access or security with as little damage as the hardware allows, and to explain anything that needs replacing before we do it.

Available 24/7 by Phone Across the Region

We serve St. Augustine, St. Augustine Beach, St. Johns, Nocatee, Ponte Vedra, Jacksonville, Orange Park and communities throughout Northeast Florida. Whatever the hour, calling is the fastest way to reach us for an emergency.
